Support Help
Under the direction and supervision of the Computer Center Supervisor. Purchase and receive computer and related equipment utilizing the Cameron County Purchasing policies and procedures. Provides first line support, screen calls, administrative and clerical assistance, and other data center functions. Maintain department time and attendance. Cross training will include basic computer support assistance.
This includes:

Solicit bids and quotes for computer and related equipment.

Prepare requisitions for purchase order with supporting documentation.

Insure all purchases adhere to Computer Center specifications.

Assist Computer Support personnel when necessary to install and configure software on new computers with related peripherals.

Provide clerical and administrative support to the department.

Answer, screen, route telephone calls, and responds to service requests.

Orders, receives and maintains supplies and software for the department.

Perform project based data entry.

Meet weekly to discuss service task status, and job progress.

Receive and sort mail.

Receive and inventory packages and supplies.
-
Tag and data entry computer equipment.
-
Review invoices and prepare for payment approval.
-
Maintain time and attendance records as required by Cameron County policy and departmental Procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Computer Center Supervisor and/or Director of Administrative Services.
