The District Clerk of Cameron County provide support staff for the District Courst and works with the judges to obtain timely disposition of all court cases. The clerk is a registrar, recorder and custodian of all documents that are part of criminal and civil actions.
Approximately, 7,300 cases are filled and 9,000 are disposed annually. These cases include personal injury, divorces, workers compensation, adoptions, and child support cases, to name a few. Approximately 5,000 cases are pending in Cameron County.
