Amador R. Rodriguez Juvenile Boot Camp and Educational Center
The Amador R. Rodriguez Juvenile Boot Camp and Educational Center is a highly structured and therapeutic residential facility for males. While enrolled at the facility, cadets adhere to regimented schedules that involve discipline, physical training, education, counseling, treatment and vocational training. Cadets also attend school throughout the day, supported by San Benito CISD. The objective of the program is to provide a safe and secure environment that will instill in our cadets pro-social values such as spirituality, respect, good citizenship and service to the community. Cadets at the Boot Camp are also involved in the Home Construction Program. Cadets learn vocational skills and techniques to build small homes that are then donated to the community.
Ladies Inspired For Excellence (LIFE) & Building Responsible Adults with Values and Education (BRAVE) Program
The LIFE (female) & BRAVE (male) Residential Program is a secure facility which utilizes a strength based approach when servicing youth. Juveniles must be court ordered to participle in the program. The program is designed to service juveniles ages 14 thru 17 who have been diagnosed with a mental health disorder and/or have experienced traumatic events in the past. The program will provide the residents with a therapeutic environment where they will receive trauma informed care and will be allowed to work on their personal struggles. Each juvenile is assigned a licensed counselor and will participate in individual, group and family counseling. During their stay, our goal is to teach the residents to value themselves, their families, others, and their community. Education requirements require the juvenile to be classified as 8th grade or above. This unique program is a certified secure facility with Texas Juvenile Justice Department post-adjudicated facilities in accordance to 343 standards.
